Welcome to the Knickers community, created by the lingerie experts behind Knickers, the lingerie weblog. If you're a fan of gorgeous designer lingerie, this is the place to swap bargains, find new lingerie or ask questions of fellow afficionados. Think of it as Knickersbook!

To get started, check out our groups below -- you can join as many as you like, and each group has its own discussion forum where you can talk with other members.

If you're a designer or retailer with a big event coming up, why not post it in the Events section? Tell us about your sample sales, trunk shows, in-store sales or anything else!

To make sure that everyone enjoys themselves, we've set a few ground rules for participating in the Knickers community:

Who should participate: This community is for people who love designer lingerie, from consumers to designers to retailers. If you know your Kiki from your Kiss Me Deadly, this is the place for you. If your favourite brands are available at Wal-Mart, you're probably in the wrong place.

Guidelines:
* Please be respectful of each other and helpful towards one another. Before you post something, try to think, "is this going to add to this conversation?" If it isn't, don't bother!
* Please don't use any outrageously offensive language. Pretend that you're talking to your granny and act accordingly.
* Please don't link to or upload anything that you wouldn't want our collective mothers to see. That means no porn, no self-portraits of you in lingerie, etc. We don't mind sex toys and saucy sites like Coco de Mer (our mums are cool!), but if it's not classy, it's probably not right for Knickers readers. If you're not sure whether or not to link to something or to upload a picture, just email us at thegirls@knickersblog.com to check.
* If you want to promote your brand, that's fine, but find a way to be interesting about it. Don't just pop into a thread and say "hey here's a cool brand [link]," instead, give us some of your expertise! If you do blindly promote in our community, we'll delete it. If you keep doing it, we'll be forced to ban you. If you're not sure what's cool, just contact us.
* Each group has an "introduction" thread where you can tell us all about your company and give us your URL, etc., so please use it! You can also add more information about your company on your profile page.
* If your activity around the site gives us the creeps, we'll probably disable your account. It's nothing personal.
* Danae, Alison and Katie will be moderating all discussions, and may delete posts for any of the reasons made above, or any other reason that they think is reasonable. We don't do this to power-trip over anyone, but instead to ensure that everyone enjoys themselves and gains from the community. If you think that we've made a mistake, just email us and we can talk over it.
